Portfolio Sales and Solution Consultant (Industrial Software)

About the role

• Driving APAC software business growth by developing and executing market expansion strategies for SCADA and the broader Digital Industries (DI) Automation Software portfolio like Industrial AI, Software define Automation, Industrial Edge across Asia Pacific, identifying new industries, applications, and customer opportunities.
• Shaping customer-focused solution architectures by analyzing business, operational, and technical requirements and translating them into scalable SCADA and industrial software solutions, including availability, redundancy, integration, deployment, and lifecycle considerations.
• Leading strategic customer engagements by facilitating workshops, technical discussions, proof-of-concept conversations, and executive presentations that connect technical capabilities with measurable business value.
• Providing technical portfolio leadership by advising customers on SCADA platforms, Industrial Edge, Industrial AI, Software Defined Automation, IT/OT integration, industrial connectivity, cybersecurity fundamentals, and edge-to-cloud architectures.
• Collaborating across regional and global teams by aligning local market priorities with portfolio capabilities, supporting country sales organizations, sharing best practices, and influencing stakeholders across a matrix organization.
• Enabling sales teams and partners by developing reusable solution assets, industry use cases, competitive positioning materials, and technical enablement programs that improve customer engagement and software adoption.

Your defining qualities

• Relevant engineering background and industry experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related discipline, plus 8-12 years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA, industrial software, or digitalization.
• Strong portfolio sales and business development expertise with a proven track record of growing software businesses, developing opportunities, building pipeline, and driving market expansion through customer engagement.
• Deep SCADA and industrial software knowledge including solution architecture, requirements analysis, system validation, technical consulting, and customer-facing solution development.
• Advanced technical understanding of modern industrial technologies including IT/OT integration, industrial networking, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, APIs, databases, historians, redundancy concepts, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of emerging industrial digitalization trends such as Industrial Edge, Industrial AI, Software Defined Automation, virtual PLCs, virtualization, containerization, cloud platforms, Unified Namespace, and industrial data platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly, influence decision-makers, collaborate across cultures, and work effectively with geographically distributed teams throughout APAC.
