Java Backend Engineer (AI/LLM Chatbot, Customer Service)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend services for AI Chatbot products.
• Build large-scale software systems that can impact the daily life of millions of customers.
• Explore and integrate LLM applications to improve chatbot performance and user experience.
• Upgrade underlying infrastructure/architecture, performance tuning, troubleshoot online incidents, and perform system refactoring.
• Write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code using engineering best practices; guide junior engineers and conduct knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Core Java programming skills and willingness to do hands-on coding are a must.
• Knowledge and experience with Python and familiarity collaborating with algorithm engineers.
• Familiarity with design patterns and system design required to solve common software programming challenges.
• Capable of coping with stress and quickly learning new knowledge; good cross-team communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Chatbot & custom service bots is considered a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with LLM usage is considered a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with data jobs like Flink/Spark are considered a plus.
