DevOps Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement DevOps and cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational and business goals.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory requirements, including ISO/IEC 29110 where applicable.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and DevOps roadmaps to support current operations and future growth.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Define and standardize CI/CD pipelines, deployment methodologies, and automation frameworks across the organization.
• Ensure the effective use of DevOps tools and platforms to support continuous integration, delivery, and system reliability.
• Promote the adoption of AI-driven automation, predictive analysis, and intelligent monitoring to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize business impact and ensure rapid resolution of system issues.
• Ensure proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and applications.
• Approve and supervise system upgrades, patches, and enhancements while minimizing risk to production environments.
• Ensure documentation, operational procedures, and best practices are properly maintained and communicated.
• Lead, manage, and develop the DevOps team.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to enhance both technical and leadership capabilities within the team.
• Plan workforce capacity, allocate resources effectively, and support succession planning within the DevOps function.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance DevOps culture across teams.
• Work closely with software development, security, and other technology teams to ensure alignment on system quality, reliability, and delivery objectives.
• Communicate DevOps performance, risks, and strategic initiatives effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related roles, with proven experience in team leadership.
• Strong expertise in AWS services and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (e.g., GitLab), and DevOps best practices.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and relevant programming or scripting languages.
• Experience in applying AI or advanced automation techniques within a DevOps or operations environment is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and knowledge of ISO/IEC 29110 standards will be an advantage.
