Thai Testing Specialist

About the Role

Testing Specialist - Functional and Linguistic. Location: Bangkok, Thailand. Type: Permanent, onsite. The role requires expertise in Thai language and working knowledge of software testing across phases of the software development cycle, plus hands-on experience with software applications in a corporate network environment (servers, databases, mail systems). Leadership or project supervisory experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform both functional and linguistic testing and QA in a secure onsite testing facility.
• Work as part of a team on projects across consumer tech (video/audio streaming, travel, commerce apps, etc.) for various clients.
• Support operational and technical aspects of projects including project assessment, coordination and delivery.
• Create and validate localization and functional test plans based on UI/UX and functional specifications from clients.
• Setup test beds and test environments; troubleshoot and problem-solve in a deadline-driven environment.
• Review, validate and triage identified defects for clarity, classification and prioritization.
• Support screenshot projects and provide regular status reports to the Test Lead.

Qualifications

• Bilingual with translator-level fluency in Thai preferred; strong command of written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Translation or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, defect investigation and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; highly detailed and organized.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with other team members; motivated and quick to learn.
• Leadership experience including supervisory experience or project management is highly desirable.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with servers, databases and corporate networked applications.
• Previous experience in software testing and knowledge of test management tools (desirable).
• IT support experience in software development / testing environments (desirable).
