Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Bidding (Bangkok based, relocation provided)

Responsibilities

• Lead the team technically to improve scalability, stability, accuracy, speed and efficiency of existing ML systems and processes.
• Build, administer and scale ML processing pipelines.
• Design, build, test and deploy libraries, frameworks or full systems for core ML systems while maintaining high standards of testing and code quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to identify and build tools that automate large-scale data management and analysis tasks.
• Own end-to-end delivery of ML models to production at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 4+ years in ML.
• Expertise in SQL, Python3, and a JVM-based programming language (e.g., Java or Scala).
• Strong software design skills, including design patterns, functional and object-oriented programming.
• Analytical problem-solving capabilities and an engineering-driven mindset.

Skills

• Comfortable with Python3, JVM languages (Java/Scala), and Spark-based data processing.
• Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop) and object storage (S3).
• Familiarity with ML model internals (LightGBM, Random Forest, CNN, regression models) and deploying ML systems.
• Scripting (Bash/Python) and systems administration in Linux.
• Experience with open-source products, Scala development, agile environments and test-driven methodologies.
