Software Engineer – Quality & Automation

About the Role

Software Engineer – Quality & Automation (On-site in Chiang Mai). As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for quality assurance of Iron Software products, coordinating with testers and engineering to identify blockers, escalate technical issues, and improve testing quality, strategy and documentation. You will work closely with Engineering Managers and senior team members to keep the team productive and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute product tests based on requirements specifications to ensure comprehensive functional coverage.
• Provide testing reports to the Software Engineering Team to help resolve critical issues.
• Continuously improve testing quality, strategy and documentation.
• Develop and maintain individual project work and Jira ticket management to track progress.
• Solve problems independently and as part of a team; support Technical Support with timely, accurate answers related to the source code.
• Contribute to automation efforts and collaborate with engineers on test design and integration.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in software testing with hands-on manual and automated testing and proven test execution.
• Basic understanding of OOP languages such as C# (.NET), C++.
• Basic scripting/automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and deployment targets including Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Azure.
• Experience testing on web and desktop platforms; familiarity with API testing tools (Postman).
• Preferred: experience designing or maintaining automation frameworks, understanding of SDLC/STLC and testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT), and basic experience with CI/CD pipeline integration of automated tests.

• On-site role in Chiang Mai.
