Remote - Quality Assurance & Process Analyst

About the Company

At World Business Lenders (www.wbl.com) we provide flexible, short-term commercial loans backed by real estate to help small and medium-sized businesses across the United States, particularly those facing difficulties with traditional financing. This is a Contract/Consultant role with typical working hours 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Role Overview

• Act as a Quality Assurance & Process Analyst connecting QA, requirements engineering, and operational excellence.
• Ensure quality of software and business processes while identifying opportunities for automation and process redesign.
• Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements and act as a quality champion throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate across teams to eliminate inefficiencies and formalize undocumented processes.

Role Purpose

• Merge quality assurance practices with process analysis to improve quality, compliance, and efficiency.
• Deliver tactical quality outcomes (defect prevention, validation) and strategic operational enhancements (process formalization, automation, continuous improvement).

Performance Metrics & Success Measures

• Quality Metrics: defect detection rate, defect escape rate, test case coverage, mean time to resolution.
• Requirements Accuracy: traceability completion, timely sign-off of requirements, reduced change requests.
• Process Improvement Impact: KPI improvements after implementation, adoption, cost savings, reduced process cycle times.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: feedback from business owners, project teams, and development partners.
• Efficiency Metrics: time to complete test cycles, turnaround for requirements documentation, duration of process analysis cycles.
• Documentation Quality: completeness, accuracy, and usability of test documentation, requirement specifications, and process guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in quality assurance, testing, business analysis, or process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in at least two of: software testing/QA, requirements analysis, business process analysis, or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in cross-functional team environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments.

Technical Skills

• Analyzing and documenting business requirements and producing testable specifications.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and test case coverage practices.
• Ability to measure and report quality and process KPIs.

Soft Skills

• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal; able to simplify technical and process concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork in cross-functional settings.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and analysis.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and maintain composure under pressure.
