Collection Executive - Reinsurance

About the Role

The role involves managing receivables and payables related to reinsurance activities with timely collection and accurate settlement, minimizing aging exposure while ensuring compliance with OIC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor reinsurance receivables and payables both inward and outward (premiums, claims, recoveries, commission) by ensuring timely collection and accurate settlement with reinsurers and brokers.
• Prepare bank transfer application and reconcile sale tax invoices.
• Prepare regular reports on aging and proactively follow up to minimize outstanding balances.
• Provide insights into cash flow forecasting on a timely basis.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, credit control procedures, and regulations, and submit semi-annual reports related to overseas transactions to the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to analyze aging reports, perform reconciliations, and communicate clearly in writing for statements of accounts, queries and discrepancies.
• Ability to identify issues and provide appropriate solutions and prioritize high-value and overdue accounts.
• Understanding of reinsurance principles, accounting standards, OIC regulations, sanctions, AML, and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in reinsurance, accounting, or finance.
• Knowledge of reinsurance principles and accounting standards.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
