Technician (AIA East Gateway)

About the Role

Technician responsible for overall upkeep of plant and facilities equipment to ensure smooth daily operations at a high-rise building. Act as first line for maintenance needs, coordinate with vendors, and support duty technicians with work plans and technical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment rooms and other facilities regularly using predefined checklists and perform preventive maintenance.
• Control and maintain building control systems and installed equipment in assigned areas.
• Investigate and repair equipment as requested by tenants; perform electrical, pneumatic and climate control diagnostics and repairs.
• Keep detailed records of chiller consumption and air-conditioning system temperatures.
• Provide electrical and telephone system support for exhibitions and events.
• Coordinate vendor maintenance, and implement equipment moves, adds and changes.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies or unexpected situations and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Follow company rules and local governmental regulations in all work activities.

Qualifications

• Vocation or Diploma in Electricity or related field; new graduates welcome (experience an advantage).
• Experience in preventive maintenance and building systems in high-rise buildings is an advantage.
• Electronic/electrical license will be an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and good interpersonal skills.
• Available to work in shifts.
