IT System Engineer (6 months contract)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software and diverse custom applications to support users in R&D and manufacturing.
• Utilize programming tools including C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and Python to develop solutions.
• Develop and design software to convert legacy data formats to the company standard data format.
• Database design and backend development using PL/SQL; create stored procedures and packages as needed.
• Collaborate closely with business SMEs, R&D, product engineers and test engineers to provide software solutions.
• Convert legacy software code into modern technologies and maintain/improve existing custom applications.
• Communicate with overseas teams and provide problem-solving for complex, time-sensitive issues that could impact operations and product shipments.
• Follow documentation standards, participate in code/design reviews and change management processes to ensure quality deliveries.
• Provide support and mentorship to other team members.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' software development experience; experience with manufacturing-related IT systems is preferred.
• Strong experience in one or more of the following: software development in .NET/C#; database design for Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server; PL/SQL, stored procedure and package creation.
• Excellent English oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
