About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Structural Engineer to join our transport team in our Bangkok, Thailand office. Work arrangement: hybrid. Employment type: full time or part time. This role offers the opportunity to work on transport infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the East Asia market within a global consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural design for foundations, steelwork, reinforced concrete structures and bridges/viaducts.
• Prepare structural briefing, specification and tender documents.
• Provide design sketches and reports for schematic, detailed design development and construction phases.
• Provide detailed engineering computations and analysis for statutory submission.
• Liaise with other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs with other infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, sub-contractors and cross-office project teams to facilitate design works and ensure full coordination.
• Attend technical and progress meetings with clients and cross-office project teams as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; Master’s in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• At least 5 years’ post‑graduate experience within a consultancy environment, preferably with underground infrastructure or deep excavation projects; bridge design or renewable energy structural experience is an advantage.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Council of Engineers, Thailand, or equivalent internationally recognised professional body is an advantage.
• Proficient in 3D structural design and analysis software (e.g. Robot, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SAFE, MIDAS).
• Knowledge of relevant international and local design codes and standards, particularly the Eurocodes.
• Understanding of local authority requirements, including regulatory and authority submission process in Singapore.
• Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with clients, government authorities, agencies, global project teams and contractors.
• Proven experience with BIM tools and project delivery in a BIM environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, ability to mentor junior colleagues, and strong communication and coordination skills in English.
