Sales Eecutive, Industrial Channel

About the Role

Engage to expand project sales for Industrial categories, achieve individual sales targets, and manage key projects through channel distributors. Work onsite and support specification, demonstrations, technical training and job-site support to convert opportunities into sales.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key end-users, influencers and designers to achieve product specification and sales conversion.
• Expand project sales potential for related products & services in key industrial categories and achieve individual sales targets.
• Work with demand planner to ensure product forecasting supports the strategic sales plan for assigned accounts.
• Support marketing planning activities for industrial categories and related products & services.
• Assess customer applications and propose solutions to meet needs; leverage full product range to develop new applications for key projects.
• Provide technical training and presentations to clients on product approvals, performance, characteristics, applications and limitations.
• Use proprietary in-house technical design software/manuals with clients and communicate customer feedback for product development.
• Follow up on enquiries and issues from end-customers/distributors including marketing programs, ordering, deliveries, invoicing and payment.
• Manage and drive key projects with channel distributors to maximize product and sales penetration; monitor sales performance vs targets and prepare sales reports on performance, opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve work issues and perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (Civil or Structural preferred; Mechanical acceptable) or Diploma.
• At least 5 years' experience in technical/project sales or specified product lines, with experience selling to industrial end users.
• Solid knowledge of the local market landscape and a strong related business network.
• Willingness to work in job-site environments and conduct on-site demonstrations; able to provide technical job-site support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up and documentation skills; self-starter with high energy and willingness to take calculated risks; able to work in a team.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office suite products.
• Valid driving licence and owns a car.
