System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software and custom applications to support users in R&D and manufacturing.
• Utilize programming tools (C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Python) to build diverse applications.
• Develop and design software to convert legacy data formats to the company standard data format.
• Database design and develop backend applications using PL/SQL, stored procedures and packages.
• Collaborate closely with business SMEs, R&D, product engineers and test engineers to provide software solutions.
• Convert legacy code into modern technologies and maintain/improve existing custom applications.
• Communicate with overseas teams and provide problem-solving solutions for complex and time-sensitive issues impacting operations and shipments.
• Follow documentation, code/design reviews, and change management processes to ensure delivery of quality solutions.
• Offer support and mentoring to other team members.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' software development experience; manufacturing-related IT systems preferred.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in information management, data science, computer science, industrial or mechanical engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in one or more areas: software development in .NET/C#, database design for Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, PL/SQL, stored procedures and package creation.
• Preferred experience with AWS Cloud data technologies and data modelling/data engineering in an AWS data lake using SQL and Python; open to learn AWS if no prior experience.
• Preferred experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or AWS QuickSight; open to learn if no prior experience.
• Experience in business analysis, prioritization and coordination; expertise in writing complex SQL and ETL batch processes.
• Excellent English oral, written and presentation skills; curious, research-minded, and strong at structuring unstructured problems.
• Knowledge of enterprise reporting in finance, supply chain or manufacturing is preferred; ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
