About the Role

Under close supervision, provides technical support to engineering teams by performing tasks that require a basic understanding of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. Participates in evaluation of methods used in development of deliverables and design activities to support continuous improvement and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant with the BV Quality Program and support continuous improvement and change management.
• Develop skills in applications required to modify and produce less complex deliverables from various design inputs (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling).
• Assist with minor computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Assist in coordinating deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors.
• Focus on internal client needs while developing basic understanding of external client drivers and proactively share knowledge of relevant technologies and processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
