About the Role

Armenian Language Expert – AI Trainer. Work with advanced language models to evaluate and improve Armenian language understanding across vocabulary, dialects, grammar, idioms, and cultural context. Contribute directly to prompt engineering, evaluation metrics, and error documentation.

Responsibilities

• Converse with language models in Armenian across diverse topics to test contextual interpretation and cultural relevance.
• Verify linguistic accuracy (phonetics, morphology, syntax, dialectal distinctions, colloquial expressions) and document errors.
• Capture reproducible error traces and clearly document failure modes for engineering teams.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering, evaluation metrics, and model behavior.
• Provide clear, metacognitive explanations of judgments—"show your work"—so issues are reproducible.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Linguistics, Armenian Studies, Translation, or a related field is ideal.
• Professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community language work preferred.
• Deep knowledge of Armenian phonetics, morphology, syntax, regional dialects, idiomatic expressions, and cultural references.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to produce reproducible, structured error reports.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor and follow guidance for evaluation tasks.

Benefits

• Pay range: $8 to $65 per hour, final rate determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location.
• Contract role — company-sponsored benefits (health insurance, PTO) do not apply.
• As a contractor you must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet.
