Senior Business Analyst

About the Role

Senior Business Analyst (Banking). Location: Bangkok, Thailand. Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable). Industry: Banking & Financial Services. The role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and project management teams to ensure business requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into effective solutions for a major banking transformation initiative in Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement elicitation sessions with business users and subject matter experts.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, Process Flows and Gap Analysis documentation.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with business, technology, testing, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Facilitate UAT planning, execution, and business sign-off processes.
• Assist in change management, user training, and deployment activities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively.
• Ensure regulatory, compliance, and banking operational requirements are adequately addressed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• At least 5 years of experience within the Thai banking industry.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and business processes.
• Proven experience in digital transformation, core banking, payments, lending, channels, or regulatory projects.
• Experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements.
• Strong process mapping and business process improvement skills.
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with both business and technical teams effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with leading Thai banks or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements in Thailand.
• Experience in system implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
