Senior Strategic Initiatives (Instant & Same-Day Growth)

About the Role

The Shopee Commercial BD team is the engine behind our platform’s most ambitious growth levers. As the lead for Speed Initiatives, you will own the vision for Shopee’s Instant and Same-Day delivery ecosystem. This is not a maintenance role; it is a "builder" role. You will be responsible for defining how ultra-fast fulfillment transforms from a premium service into a core driver of user acquisition and platform stickiness. You will report to the Head of BD Infrastructure and serve as the strategic lead for our most time-sensitive logistics value propositions.

Responsibilities

• Own the Speed Vision: Define the long-term roadmap for Instant and Same-Day services and advocate how delivery speed serves as a competitive moat.
• Drive Growth via Value Proposition: Propose and launch initiatives that leverage speed to acquire new users and increase purchase frequency, and identify category penetration opportunities (e.g., FMCG, Electronics).
• Scale the Ecosystem: Design scalable frameworks to move the service from pilot to platform-wide standard, expanding geographic coverage and seller participation without compromising operations.
• Strategic Business Modeling: Analyze unit economics of speed, evaluating shipping subsidies, service fees, and conversion uplifts to ensure sustainability.
• Stakeholder Influence & Orchestration: Coordinate between BD, Operations, and Marketing; translate logistics performance data into strategic narratives for executive leadership to unlock resources and investment.

Qualifications

• Professional Pedigree: 3–5 years in high-growth environments such as Strategy Consulting, On-demand Delivery, E-commerce Logistics, or Tech Startups.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to convert operational capabilities (delivery time) into measurable conversion and marketing advantages.
• Analytical Prowess: Masterful at using data (Excel/SQL) to prove hypotheses and quantify impacts such as how a 2-hour delivery window affects User Lifetime Value (LTV).
• Entrepreneurial Grit: Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take calculated risks to scale a service from 1 to 100; a business-owner mentality.
• Communication: Exceptional storytelling and pitching skills to gain leadership buy-in by focusing on value proposition and ROI.

Skills / Required Skills

• Excel and SQL for quantitative analysis and unit-economics modeling.
• Experience with business development or growth initiatives in on-demand delivery or e-commerce logistics.
