Senior Manager - Operations

About the Role

Fulfillment & Logistics Operations Execution includes roles that manage and execute inventory, warehouse and fulfilment activities (planning and execution, distribution is covered by carrier management). Includes all kinds of warehouses like CFS, CY, inland depot / warehouses, bonded warehouses, etc. whether owned, operated or both by Maersk. Management stream includes those who primarily lead people for whom they have employee lifecycle responsibilities including hire/fire decisions, coaching/mentoring, coordination of tasks, appraising performance, pay reviews, and developing for future assignments. The management responsibilities are in addition to job specific accountabilities for objectives such as setting direction and developing business & operational areas, developing policies & practices, and implementing business plans.

• Manage and execute inventory, warehouse and fulfilment activities across various warehouse types (CFS, CY, inland depots, bonded warehouses), owned or operated by Maersk.
• Lead people with full employee lifecycle responsibilities: hiring, termination, coaching, mentoring, task coordination, performance appraisal and pay reviews.
• Set direction and develop business and operational areas, policies and practices, and implement business plans.
• Operate across short- to long-term planning horizons depending on career stage and objectives.
• Accountable for performance and results of teams of less experienced professionals, frontline workers and admins; adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and experience in a functional area; routinely applies subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues operating within precedents or well-defined policies.
• Handles most situations independently, receives minimal guidance, and seeks advice on complex or non-routine topics.
