Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to help grow the Omise team in Thailand and Japan. You will design, scale, and maintain infrastructure for enterprise services (eWallets, payment solutions, platforms) to ensure high reliability, availability and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale and maintain infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with developers and support deployment of applications (Elixir and Golang).
• Provide tooling and CI/CD for automated deployments of Omise applications.
• Architect and scale infrastructure to meet reliability and availability targets; set up monitoring, logs and alerts to meet SLAs/SLOs.
• Lead technical infrastructure design and implementation, including coaching and supervising team members.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to emergencies outside work hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in DevOps-related roles.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes internals and EKS.
• Strong AWS experience including networking, security and RDS.
• Networking experience: routing, load balancing, TLS, AWS VPC.
• Experienced with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD setups.
• Experience designing, testing and implementing technical architecture and cost-optimization of infrastructure.
• Leadership skills with ability to supervise, coach and drive complex architecture tasks.
• Self-managing, quality-oriented, adaptable and able to understand business requirements.
• Strong English language skills (verbal and written).

Skills

• Service Mesh (Istio), Kubernetes automation with Flux and Helm.
• ElasticSearch clusters and high availability; Datadog logging/monitoring/alerting.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Pgbouncer; security background and PCI-DSS experience are a plus.
