Responsibilities

• Support development of AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency of EC qualification planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Apply LLM APIs and automation techniques to assist in EC plan / qualification matrix generation, engineering data consolidation and validation, status monitoring, and result updates.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing engineering workflows (Excel, scripts, dashboards) to reduce manual work.
• Develop scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks such as status tracking, data aggregation, routine checks, and updates.
• Apply AI tools to analyze engineering data to identify trends, anomalies, risk signals, and highlight key insights to support data-driven recommendations.
• Work with engineering teams (Head/Media, HDD, component teams) to understand workflows and translate requirements into automation solutions.
• Combine structured data with AI-generated insights to improve visibility of qualification progress and risk.

Qualifications

Required:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Basic programming skills in Python or equivalent scripting language.
• Familiarity with data handling and processing (Excel, CSV, structured data).
• Basic understanding of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar).
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to work with real engineering data in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Experience in automation development (Python, VBA, or scripting tools).
• Familiarity with API integration, especially AI / LLM APIs.
• Experience working with Excel-based workflows and data automation.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or qualification processes and interest in using AI for data analysis and decision support.
