Plant Manager

About the Role

Plant Manager at PRTR. Location: Chon Buri, Thailand. We are seeking a highly driven and hands-on Plant Manager to lead and manage overall plant operations, with strong experience in automation systems, manufacturing efficiency, and cost & budget control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end plant operations including HR, Finance, production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient daily operations.
• Monitor and optimize KPIs such as productivity, yield, downtime, and cost efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Lead implementation and optimization of automation systems and production lines; drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to upgrade and modernize machinery and systems and identify opportunities for digitalization and smart manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and manage plant budgets, monitor operational expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and analyze production cost structures to improve financial performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams, build a high-performance culture, and foster collaboration across departments.
• Translate business strategies into actionable plant-level plans, support capacity planning and operational scalability, and provide performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a plant leadership role.
• Strong experience with automation production lines (e.g., robotics, PLC, smart factory systems) and proven track record in cost control, budgeting, and operational efficiency improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is highly preferred.
