About our group:

The Tooling Development Group is responsible for designing and buying off Slider/HSA tooling, shipping combs, automated machines, and testers to meet new product launch schedules while promoting productivity, quality, and safety. We collaborate closely with global counterparts and other manufacturing sites in Thailand, China, and the US to support HSA tooling modifications and new design implementations as requested.

About the role - you will:

• Lead tooling qualification for prototypes and manage smooth handovers to Maintenance and Process Engineering for design validation.
• Oversee tooling replication and qualification for capacity ramp-ups, ensuring technical drawings are released in Windchill.
• Align with vendors on tooling functions and drawing specifications; provide technical guidance and standardized buy-off methods prior to shipment.
• Partner with Procurement to qualify new vendors or new tooling types before mass production ordering.

About you:

• Hands-on technical mindset with a strong passion for machining and fabrication.
• Strictly follows safety protocols, SOPs, and team guidelines.
• Positive attitude toward cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement.

Your experience includes:

• High Vocational Diploma in Machining, Mechanical Drawing, or Electronics with 5+ years in tooling buy-off/precision machining.
• Strong understanding of industrial machining processes, including lathe, CNC/NC milling, and fabrication operations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering technical drawings with a solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing); highly skilled in using precision measurement instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, preferably Windchill, or engineering document control workflows.
• Basic to intermediate English communication skills, with a TOEIC score of 250 or above.
