Safety Officer (One Bangkok)

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and provide recommendations to employers, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
• Analyze workplace strengths and weaknesses, establishing standards to prevent hazards. Present these findings to management.
• Assess safety threats within the workplace, including electrical and mechanical systems throughout the premises. A thorough evaluation of all areas is required.
• Present safety-related plans and projects, outlining their potential impacts for employers.
• Inspect and assess workplace safety and risks across all operational areas.
• Mandate and conduct safety training.
• Participate in workplace environmental and safety assessments, including the review of all safety documentation.
• Develop and implement safety initiatives within the work unit to meet legal and company standards.
• Present and assess hazardous situations to facilitate immediate rectification and prevent future occurrences.
• Collect and compile safety statistics and information for employers, aiding in the development of more stable, accurate safety planning and the reduction of high-risk areas.
• Demonstrate creativity and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years
• Education: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines is required: Bachelor of Science (Occupational Health and Safety), Bachelor of Public Health (Occupational Health and Safety), Bachelor of Engineering (Safety Engineering). Alternatively, an equivalent qualification is acceptable.
