Metrology and Laboratory Leader

Responsibilities

• Monitoring compliance of product testing according to control plan / quality plan and customer requirements in the specified timeframe and ensuring traceability
• Drive on time performance of LAT, reliability and any other testing required to approve/release product
• Ensure COP (Compliance of Production) Testing compliance
• Ensure compliance of testing for special country certifications, e.g.: Product homologation, type approvals, KBA (German Road Traffic Law), CCAP (Mark Certification of Motor Vehicle Products for China), etc.
• Development of laboratory, testing and calibration procedures in compliance with quality management standards, customer, legal and government requirements
• Trigger no-conformance process in case of deviations for the product tested
• Performance of calibration/verification of testing and process equipment, ensuring traceability to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and/or equivalent standard
• Responsibility for MSA for Lab equipment
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve measurement-related issues
• Evaluate and introduce new measurement technologies and equipment to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper documentation within the lab environment
• Comply with internal regulations, collective labor contract, and health and safety instructions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Materials Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in metrology, quality, or laboratory management in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of measurement systems, calibration standards, and lab testing methods
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Precision and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical expertise in measurement and testing
