Vue.js and Nuxt Engineer

About the Role

As a Vue.js / Nuxt Engineer, you will work as a fully remote, hourly-paid contractor to review AI-generated Vue/Nuxt code, frontend architectures, and technical explanations, and to produce high-quality reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning for complex engineering problems. You will assess solutions for correctness, clarity, accessibility, security, performance, and adherence to prompts, identify issues across reactivity, component composition, state management, SSR/SSG, routing/data fetching, hydration, caching, and bundle performance, fact-check technical information, and rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

This role is with SME Careers, an AI data services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts and write high-quality reference answers across Vue/Nuxt topics to guide AI learning and training data.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code and explanations, ranking responses for correctness, clarity, accessibility, security, and performance.
• Identify and explain issues in Vue reactivity, component composition, state management, SSR/SSG, routing and data fetching, hydration, caching, and bundle performance.
• Produce model solutions and step-by-step reasoning that demonstrate best practices and maintainability.
• Test and validate model recommendations to catch inaccuracies or unsafe suggestions in real-world use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years building production web applications with Vue.js, including at least 2+ years with Nuxt (or equivalent SSR framework experience).
• Expert-level proficiency in modern Vue (Vue 3 preferred): Composition API, reactivity system, component patterns, lifecycle, slots, and transitions.
• Strong Nuxt fundamentals (Nuxt 3 preferred): server routes, middleware, composables, Nitro, SSR/SSG, caching, and deployment patterns.
• Solid web fundamentals: HTTP, browser rendering, security basics (XSS/CSRF), cookies/sessions, and OAuth flows.
• Performance mindset: bundle optimization, code splitting, image optimization, Core Web Vitals, and profiling.
• Experience with testing and quality tools: Vitest/Jest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright/Cypress, linting, and CI/CD.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (written and spoken) with ability to write clear technical explanations and follow detailed English-language guidelines.
• Proven experience conducting detailed code reviews and enforcing coding standards for maintainability, correctness, and accessibility.
• Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
• Highly detail-oriented and systematic, with a methodical approach to evaluating reasoning quality and identifying subtle issues in complex UI code.

Skills

• Hands-on expertise in Vue.js and Nuxt (framework concepts, SSR/SSG, routing, composables).
• Modern JavaScript and frontend fundamentals including HTML/CSS and browser behavior.
• Experience with testing frameworks and E2E tools (Playwright/Cypress, unit testing with Vitest/Jest).
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines for frontend projects.
• Experience assessing AI-generated code or working with AI/ML training workflows is beneficial.
