Principal (Forward Deployed AI Scientist)

What You'll Do

• Own the full analytics value chain end-to-end: frame business challenges, design algorithms, implement and deploy scalable solutions, and enable colleagues and clients to adopt AI.
• Apply data science methods and advanced analytics to real-world business problems across industries to drive measurable impact.
• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions and industry-specific software products.
• Develop and deliver thought leadership, publish papers, and represent BCG X at conferences.
• Distill complex analyses into clear, impactful visualizations and explain advanced data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Work hands-on with modern development tools and collaborate on code; mentor and lead project teams and client engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data science experience; prior professional services or consulting experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, with the ability to translate technical results into business implications.
• Proficiency in Python; additional programming languages are a plus.
• Experience building and deploying production ML solutions and familiarity with modern development and DevOps practices.
• Strong project management skills and ability to act as the interface between business and technology.
• Comfortable in client-facing roles, able to manage engagements and client relationships, and provide thought leadership.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate in global teams and engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in Thai preferred; strong English communication skills required.
