QA Tester - Platform & Dashboards

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-loving QA Tester to join our data products team and help keep our analytics platform sharp, reliable, and business-ready. In this role you'll test dashboards, features, and workflows to ensure everything works smoothly and makes sense for real users making real decisions. Your main focus will be our analytics platform and embedded dashboards, with occasional Power BI dashboard testing.

Responsibilities

• Test dashboards, reports, web platforms and data-driven applications across releases
• Validate requirements and collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders
• Write clear test cases, bug reports, and validation documentation
• Perform regression, smoke, UAT and end-to-end testing to ensure release readiness
• Validate data and dashboard logic, including checking data directly in databases when needed (SQL)
• Work with evolving, imperfect, or incomplete datasets and identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester, Software Tester, Data QA Analyst, BI Tester, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Experience testing web platforms, dashboards, reports, or data-driven applications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data, visuals, logic, and user flows
• Ability to write clear test cases, bug reports, and validation documentation
• SQL knowledge or experience validating data directly from databases is preferred
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms is a plus
• Experience with automation testing tools, frameworks, or test scripts (e.g., Selenium/Cypress) is a plus
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments with strong communication and collaboration skills
