About the Role

Design Engineering Manager at Dusit Hotels and Resorts Corporate Office. To oversee engineering related design and technical services that constitute an integral part of hotel designs and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering related design and technical services that constitute an integral part of hotel designs and operations.
• Advise consultants, owners of hotel properties and Dusit Operations teams on engineering design and systems for hotel operations.
• Review system designs of MEP of hotels in each respective category of new-build, re-branding and conversion renovation.
• Prepare technical papers in term guidelines, reports, analyses and advisories.
• Manage engineering design with sensitivity of cost, time and functionality.
• Be knowledgeable and conversant on all core brand standards and requirements.
• Effectively communicate with team members and concerned entities in a timely and clear fashion.
• Track project milestones and deliverables and ensure adherence to milestones.
• Review and ensure deliverables provided by team members are accurate prior to submission to the Owners/Consultants/DI Executives.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored systematically.
• Provide updates and training for Engineering and TS team members and other colleagues on an ongoing basis.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of software documentation.
• Identify waste saving methods and ideas.
• Keep abreast of new developments in Engineering Design, equipment and energy saving.
• Willingness to learn new technical skills to enhance the departments’ performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of work after graduation.
• Having in-depth knowledge and practical application of reading, understanding and interpreting standards and codes of practice in a complex engineering setting.
• Conversant in both written and spoken English; candidate is expected to work in a multi-national environment.
• Preferably has designing experience in hotel-related engineering work either in the consultant office, or high end residential project.
• Self-motivated, culturally sensitive, and ready for frequent international travel.
