About the Role

Embedded Software Engineer - GPU responsible for developing safety-critical automotive computer vision-based applications. Role involves real-time embedded software development using C/C++ for 32/64-bit multicore SoC/microcontrollers, OS/BSP, device drivers (Flash, EEPROM, LIN, CANFD, Ethernet, SPI) and HW/SW integration. Location: Auburn Hills, MI. Direct Hire, Full-Time.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software including design and development for safety-critical automotive computer vision-based applications.
• Design, implement, test and debug core and/or application-specific software for automotive electronic module serial production projects.
• Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE/Comma-based Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP).
• Perform independent design, implementation and testing of software components.
• Interface with product development teams located in various geographical locations.
• Participate in HW/SW integration, software configuration management and full software life-cycle development.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in automotive electronics serial development projects.
• Experience with GPU programming, ARM architecture, C6x/C7x DSP cores, OpenGL ES, OpenVX and C/C++.
• Experience with QNX or Linux, object-oriented design methodologies and formal software process models.
• Experience with OS/BSP and device driver development (Flash, EEPROM, LIN, CANFD, Ethernet, SPI).
• Experience developing software in compliance with ASPICE-based GPEP and ISO26262 functional safety.
• Familiarity with requirements management (PTC/Reqtify), Enterprise Architect, static analysis (QAC), debuggers, unit testing (VectorCAST, GTest), configuration management (PTC Integrity/Git) and QNX/Linux development environments.
