Glass Plants - Mixing & Melting Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Control the melting of raw materials in the furnace to ensure quality, and inspect by measuring seed count. Record temperature and related parameters in the Furnace Daily Report.
• Control the inspection and acceptance of raw materials to ensure they meet the specified quality standards, and oversee the loading of raw materials into the batch plant.
• Inspect and control the operation of the furnace to ensure the molten glass meets the required quality standards.
• Clean the batch plant system, inspect the condition of silos, scales, and machinery, and measure moisture content of raw materials at various points according to the scheduled intervals.
• Inspect and verify raw materials at the truck scale, check quality, control loading, inspect material quantity and batch in the hopper, and record raw material usage per shift in the designated form.
• Inspect the cooling system of furnace equipment, including air, water, and gas pipelines, and fix any issues found.
• Control the combustion quality inside the furnace to minimize environmental pollution.
• Maintain furnace bricks and related equipment according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
• Carry out activities related to various standard systems, including safety and environmental responsibilities.
• Carry out tasks assigned by the Mixing & Melting Supervisor to achieve the defined objectives and goals.
