Senior Cloud Consultant

About the Role

Develop enterprise cloud solutions and lead delivery teams in customer workshops. Engage with clients and partners to define and design cloud technology and solution architecture, mapping business requirements to IT capabilities for migration and modernization to cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end enterprise and cloud-based architecture catering to client needs.
• Analyze complex application landscapes, anticipate problems and trends, assess solutions, impacts and risks, and propose cloud roadmaps, solution architectures and associated TCO.
• Develop and implement cloud architecture solutions based on AWS; knowledge of GCP or Azure is an advantage.
• Propose and implement application modernization, migrations and greenfield implementations as a technical consultant.
• Implement and deploy DevOps-based, end-to-end cloud applications.
• Lead discovery and architecture workshops; influence client architects and IT personnel and guide other architects on the team.
• Deliver optimized infrastructure designs demonstrating public, private and hybrid cloud architectures and services.
• Act as subject-matter and implementation expert for clients regarding technical architecture and cloud implementation.
• Create process frameworks, SOPs, cookbooks and automation scripts/tools for cloud discovery, migrations, application modernization, DevSecOps and service transitions.
• Lead initiatives to standardize, automate and develop driven assets and accelerators.

Technical Skills

• Experience implementing solutions using AWS Cloud Services, open source and 3rd-party technologies.
• Experienced in Terraform, PowerShell, AWS CloudFormation, Jenkins, Ansible and templates for automation.
• Knowledge of creating IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions in AWS for scalability, reliability and performance.
• Delivery experience with microservices, APIs, containerization, Kubernetes and application modernization.
• Understanding of WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, virtual networking, subnets, routing, storage and IaaS.
• Ability to craft system logical views and network diagrams and build automated solutions for server builds and resource monitoring.
• Experience with middleware integration technologies (SOA, ESB, API platforms) and API security.
• Experience in design, development and architecture of Java/JEE and .NET systems and assessing various OS (AIX, Linux, Windows) and databases (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, NoSQL variants) for transformation approaches.
• Cloud administration tasks such as creating resource groups and storage accounts.
