Regional Head of Engineering – Asia

About the Role

We represent a leading global manufacturing organization seeking a Regional Head of Engineering to lead multi-site engineering operations across Asia. This role will drive engineering strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives across complex manufacturing environments. As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will partner cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of customer programs while supporting long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Operational Leadership — Define and execute regional engineering strategy aligned with global objectives; standardize engineering practices and performance frameworks across sites; drive continuous improvement in productivity, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Product Industrialization & Execution — Lead end-to-end product industrialization from introduction through mass production; ensure operational readiness, manufacturability, and on-time program launches; accelerate time-to-market while maintaining quality and delivery performance.
• Digital & Automation Transformation — Champion smart manufacturing and automation initiatives; strengthen data-driven decision-making and operational visibility.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement — Serve as executive engineering interface for key customers; support issue resolution, audits, and business reviews.
• Leadership & Talent Development — Build and develop high-performing, multi-cultural engineering teams; drive succession planning and leadership capability development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 15+ years in advanced manufacturing environments.
• 10+ years in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading multi-site operations within Asia.
• Leadership profile: strategic mindset with strong execution capability; strong stakeholder and customer management skills; experience leading large, cross-functional, multicultural teams; demonstrated success in transformation and change leadership.
