Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Top Level Assembly

Responsibilities

• Speaker and microphone quality measurement and manufacturing management in Asia.
• Develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques and quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification.
• Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at suppliers and lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.
• Review 2D, 3D CAD mechanical drawings and conduct DFM with suppliers.
• Execute qualification activities required for product release (PPAP).
• Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine performance specifications and supplier metrics.
• Lead, track and improve supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes.
• Guide suppliers in developing robust processes and procedures to promote efficient and seamless production of high-quality products.
• Validate supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
• Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience and exceptional ability.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanics, magnetics; audio experience is a plus.
• Experience with quality systems and PPAP/APQP processes; well versed with NPD and customer launch DFMEA & PFMEA and DFM.
• In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronics Top Level Assembly for EV, including SMT process, automation in assembly, and EOL testing of electronic modules.
• Exposure to design, simulate and qualify product components and assemblies; knowledge of simulation tools, design tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of plastic, metal, part design, tooling, and manufacturing processes; data management/change management processes and drawing standards.
• Proficient with SPC and data analysis and experience using statistical software packages like Minitab or JMP; MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrable leadership abilities, experience managing safety-critical parts, and ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level.
• Ability to define and execute projects using project management techniques and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong technical writing ability and ability to explain complex issues concisely.
• Able to work independently and under high pressure; travel approximately 50–60%, possibly on short notice.
