Responsibilities

• Challenge advanced language models on topics like verb conjugation, case system (nominative, accusative, dative, genitive), word order, declensions, gender, and stylistic variation.
• Converse with the model on language scenarios, verify factual accuracy and logical soundness, and capture reproducible error traces.
• Document every failure mode to help harden model reasoning and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Provide clear, metacognitive communication—"showing your work"—when explaining analyses and findings.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in German language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal; peer‑reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects signal fit.
• Experience with linguistic analysis covering grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Ability to produce reproducible error traces and explain reasoning clearly.

Benefits

Pay range: $6 - $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary. As a contractor you must supply a secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
