About the Role

Responsible for developing data science solutions by collaborating with business units to identify requirements, analyze diverse data sources, and support data management to improve customer experience and business performance.

Responsibilities

• Work with business analysts of BUs/SUs to identify business requirements and the expected deliverables.
• Build, validate, test, and deploy machine learning or other data science models to predict and influence customers’ behavior with the goal of delivering better customer experience and optimizing products & processes.
• Test and validate insights (e.g. A/B testing) via rapid experimentation and deployment.
• Execute on BUs/SUs analytics problems and communicate results and methodologies.
• Employ appropriate algorithms to discover patterns (e.g. transactional data).
• Identify available and relevant data, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes such as smart meters, geo-location information or social media.
• Partner with data stewards in continuous improvement processes impacting data quality.
• Work with data engineers and MIS to support data collection, integration and management; identify and analyze patterns in data volume, types of data (e.g. text, clickstream, voice) and sudden variations in data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research or equivalent with at least 4 years of work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning and big data analytics.
• Familiarity with unstructured data, NLP, Text Mining, Graph Theory, Deep Learning.
• Strong passion and ability to ask relevant business questions to leverage the Bank’s customer and external data.
• Proactive personality with initiative, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and ability to think independently.
• Strong capabilities to communicate clearly both in writing and presentations in Thai and English.

Skills

• Technical: SQL, Python, Tableau.
• Experience with Hadoop, PySpark, Hive, Scala, Kafka, Impala.
