Wet Product Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead I&R projects by providing technical solutions on products/processes in factories/markets in close cooperation with project managers/engineers, and follow up on possible issues.
• Support development of processes and equipment concepts for product lines and work independently under limited supervision; may be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.
• Lead industrial trials at factory and present results in written and oral form to factory and regional operations.
• Work closely with R&D product and process teams and Technical teams from other regions to integrate product/processing knowledge and implement processing solutions on I&R and Capex projects.
• Contribute and propose ideas/activities/methods to Marketing and Operations and deploy standards within the region.
• Lead wet products processing work in the region for I&R projects or support factory processing improvement.
• Organize training/courses for new factory technicians and manufacturing operators.
• Ensure compliance with the technical assistance process and manage projects following Innovation to Learn, including appropriate documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with R&D and corporate SHE & food safety policies as well as legal SHE & food safety codes; drive safety by design of the process.
• Provide operational support to factories regarding process, performance and quality; optimize product processing parameters on each processing line to maximize throughput with optimized product performance.

Qualifications

• Preferably MSc / BSc in food science, chemical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Operational experience in wet petfood industry.
• Operational experience in product development.
• Ability to travel locally and internationally as required.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in large, multidisciplinary teams and to present/explain wet line and product information to visitors and authorities.
