Head of Business Partner - OPEX (Commercial)

About the Role

Lead the team of financial business partners for Opex (Commercial) Mobile. Responsibility includes being Opex partners with Commercial BUs to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance management; acting as a strategic advisor to business units (BUs) and management to ensure financial discipline, optimize cost efficiency and drive Operational Excellence initiatives. Prepare business cases and financial evaluations to support decision-making for operational agendas and long-term investments including Capex evaluation. Participate in business finance transformation to move from traditional Excel to AI and automation to reduce manual workload and enhance efficiency and time to deliver. Build and develop a team to strengthen analytical skills, cross-functional project management capability, presentation and innovation to support financial target achievement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end OPEX management process including budget allocation, monitoring, control, review, and forecasting.
• Develop and ensure alignment of financial plans, KPIs, and long-term strategies with corporate objectives.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and ensure effective utilization of resources across BUs.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Develop processes towards finance automation and AI.
• Monitor and analyze BU financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Track and evaluate key financial and operational KPIs and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Support performance review cycles (monthly/quarterly) with data-driven analysis.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and BU leaders, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business assumptions, financial models, and performance indicators, and translate financial data into actionable business strategies.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders (management, commercial teams, finance teams) to communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities effectively and facilitate alignment on targets and expectations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial-related positions, preferably in Financial Planning & Analysis or Performance Management & Budget control.
• English proficiency.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in business case / finance feasibility.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• CPA / audit background is a plus.
