Internship - Wafer Technology: AI Research, Development, and Implementation

About the Role

Join period: Anytime from Jan 2026. As an intern in AI research, development and implementation, you will support wafer technology in the wafer test process and gain experience in research, development, implementation of AI/ML, professional coding, test programs, and advanced data analytics. 10 vacancies available.

Responsibilities

• Perform AI research, development, and/or implementation for: wafer defect map pattern recognition and automated tools control; AI inspection using computer vision and image processing; machine authentication using facial recognition; equipment predictive maintenance; feasibility study in LLM for Smart Manufacturing applications.
• Conduct professional coding using Python with TensorFlow and OpenCV and maintain code in a GitLab repository.
• Implement AI with MLOps (Machine Learning Operation) and tools such as MLflow.
• Perform advanced automated data analytics using KNIME.
• Perform code review and bug fixing: identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects related to wafer test applications.

Qualifications

• Currently studying 3rd or 4th year in a Bachelor or Masters in Robotics and Computational Intelligence Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in Python with CV2 (OpenCV), TensorFlow, and MLflow.
• Experience with source code repositories (GIT, GitHub, GitLab).
• Basic understanding of data analysis and statistical methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; high attention to detail; good verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior engineers.
