Claims Associate - Travel Insurance (Good English)

About the Role

The Claim Examiner will perform daily claim processing per service level agreements, ensuring service quality and productivity targets for travel claims. The role covers handling medical and extended warranty claims, assessment, liaison with providers and internal approvers, and reporting on claims performance.

Responsibilities

• Process all medical and extended warranty travel claims, assessing validity, policy limits and circumstances surrounding the claim
• Perform medical review and follow-up for additional medical information and claim assessment
• Identify cost-containment opportunities and ensure claims are processed within Company timeframes and service standards
• Provide Claims Management reports as evidence of service standards being achieved and submit reports to the Medical Claims Manager as required
• Liaise with external providers and internal Travel Insurance Manager to coordinate emergency medical claims and obtain approvals or declines
• Prepare letters and other documentation in line with Company service standards
• Provide professional customer service: answer questions, develop rapport, resolve customer issues timely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate status of claims and estimates to reflect potential or actual claim exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Computer literate; able to work efficiently with Word and Excel
• Good conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision; good team player
• Good English communication skills (writing, reading and speaking)

Good To Have

• Experience with insurance products, particularly Travel Insurance
• 1-2 years' experience in the insurance business
