Lean, Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Lead continuous improvement initiatives at the Laemchabang electronics manufacturing plant, combining Lean manufacturing projects with digital solutions to modernize operations and ensure ESD compliance (ANSI/ESD S20.20). Report to the HPS Manager and work onsite supporting hands-on inspections and production-floor activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Lean projects such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping to identify waste and optimize production processes.
• Act as the ESD Compliance owner: establish and maintain the ESD Control Program in accordance with ANSI/ESD S20.20.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver training on Lean tools and ESD measures and foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality compliance.
• Drive digital transformation by developing Power BI dashboards for KPI monitoring and building Power Apps to digitize shop-floor inspections and Gemba walks.
• Design Power Automate workflows to streamline approvals, trigger alerts, and reduce manual administrative tasks.
• Provide hands-on support for inspections, maintain ESD equipment, and resolve production-floor issues directly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing or Process Improvement within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Thorough understanding of Lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, VSM) and ESD Control standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20).
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, advanced Excel) and strong project management and leadership skills.
• Analytical problem-solving experience using tools such as Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, and 8D.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Legally authorized to work in Thailand and willing to commute to and work onsite at the Laemchabang plant.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Electronics Engineering, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), Certificate of ESD Compliance, or proven track record implementing Suggestion Systems and Six Sigma projects.
