Accounting & Tax Specialist, Supply Chain Finance (Factoring)

About the Role

Location: Ratchayothin Hills, Bangkok, Thailand

As part of Midea Group’s continued global expansion, we are building a new supply chain finance factoring platform in Thailand to better support our overseas manufacturing operations and supplier ecosystem. We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Tax Specialist to take ownership of core accounting, reporting, and tax compliance activities for this new business. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is strong in accounting and tax, comfortable working in a fast-growing environment, and interested in building financial operations for a regional factoring business.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, and financial statement preparation in compliance with Thai accounting standards and Group requirements.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and chart of accounts for factoring activities, including receivables, service revenue, and impairment provisions.
• Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes, with timely and reliable reporting.
• Manage local tax compliance in Thailand, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other relevant tax filings, planning, and reporting.
• Coordinate with local tax advisors and accounting firms to ensure invoices, tax treatment, and factoring-related transactions comply with Thai regulations.
• Support tax risk control and maintain awareness of regulatory updates affecting the business.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to support business operations in a compliant and controlled manner.
• Maintain basic awareness of risk, regulatory, and legal requirements, especially in areas such as debt collection and foreign-invested company compliance.
• Support process improvement and finance governance as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Financial Management, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in financial institutions accounting/finance, and factoring, leasing, or supply chain finance.
• Practical tax compliance and execution experience.
• Good sensitivity to risk and compliance and willingness to learn local legal and regulatory requirements.
• Able to communicate and write professionally in Thai and English; Chinese language skills are preferable for internal communication.
