IT Business Analyst (Fixed term contract 2 years)

About the Role

Fixed-term contract (2 years). Onsite role working closely with business units to gain in-depth understanding of customers' business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and operating context. This role is key to understanding and documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges and to translate business needs into IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships between business partners and the IT department regarding requirements, solutions and priorities.
• Organize and lead meetings to gather business requirements from relevant parties and recommend options.
• Translate business needs into business requirements and functional specifications, including business flow and system/data flow diagrams for implementation.
• Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders (business and IT) to balance usability with IT solution and architecture constraints.
• Ensure all requirements comply with applicable standards, BOT regulations and internal regulations.
• Evaluate complexity of business requirements and provide impact analysis, sizing or scoring that reflects cost and effort to implement; present findings to demand management and related teams to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and solution teams to identify suitable IT solutions by providing end-to-end flows, business constraints and future opportunity considerations.
• Create and maintain frontend specifications to serve business requirements and deliver to frontend development teams.
• Review and provide feedback to junior business analysts on documentation and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
• Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and abstract low-level information to a general understanding.
• Ability to communicate clearly with end-users, peers and management.
