About the Company

Productive Playhouse (PPH) is a global data company originating from educational content production. Since 2011 the company has expanded its services to include transcription, translation, linguistic analysis, rating, systems testing, localization, field and studio recording, language skill verification, and specialized data handling with a focus on sensitivity and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio and video recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text following project-specific guidelines, including formatting, punctuation, and grammar.
• Perform high-quality transcription work for assigned client projects and adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies.
• Maintain continuous knowledge of client-written domain conventions and refer to training materials and guidelines as needed.
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and completeness and report technical issues or concerns promptly.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality and manage time to meet deadlines while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to privacy and security guidelines.
• Participate in other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Malay (ms_my); ability to understand a wide range of accents and dialects; candidates must pass a language assessment test.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Malay preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to client-specific style guides and written domain conventions.
• Strong research abilities for verifying accurate spelling of names, locations, and products.
• Proficiency with Mac and PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of work; ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Completion of Upper Secondary Education (or equivalent); additional training in linguistics, transcription, or related fields is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in Thailand and be 18 years or older; reliable transportation to commute to on-site facilities as required.

Additional Information

• Location: Bangkok office (onsite, not remote).
• Status: Project-based (Contractor).
• Pay: 67 THB/bundle (50 utts), paid monthly.
• Hours: Flexible depending on Operations.
• Physical requirements include ability to move around the office, remain seated for extended periods, stand for extended periods, bend/reach, manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse, wear headphones for extended periods, and perform repetitive typing tasks with sustained concentration.
