About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and shape the people function at KAIA Koh Phangan through both pre-opening and operational phases. This role is responsible for building HR foundations, supporting team culture and engagement, and ensuring people practices align with Thai labor law and operational needs.
Responsibilities
Pre-Opening- Lead recruitment and hiring in partnership with Department Heads and Corporate HR to support pre-opening, soft opening, and full operations.
- Implement the approved manpower plan and organizational structure.
- Support onboarding and orientation to ensure employees understand KAIA’s culture, service philosophy, wellness focus, and sustainability commitments.
- Adapt and implement Group HR policies and procedures in compliance with Thai labor law.
- Establish HR systems, personnel records, payroll coordination, and attendance tracking processes.
- Manage the pre-opening HR budget and coordinate employee benefits and HR-related setup activities.
- Oversee daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with Thai employment legislation and internal policies.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, and grievance handling with fairness and professionalism.
- Support payroll coordination, workforce planning, and labor law compliance related to working hours and overtime.
- Oversee visa and work permit processes for expatriate employees.
- Lead performance management, employee engagement, communication, and recognition initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR reporting.
- Support Health & Safety, welfare initiatives, CSR activities, and local community engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a hotel or resort environment.
- Pre-opening experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Thai labor law, social security, and immigration/work permit processes.
- Native Thai speaking and able to professional in English.
- Proficient in HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
