Business Analyst - Accounting Background & FinTech Product

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst — Product Specialist to join Quantium’s Product, Client Analytics & Support Team. This role will act as a key product and accounting workflow specialist for Quantium’s platform, supporting Sales, Client Solutions, and Project Managers in areas that require product knowledge, accounting understanding, system configuration, and workflow analysis. Suitable for someone with a strong accounting background who is interested in financial technology, product configuration, implementation, and solving complex client workflow problems. Onsite, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of Quantium’s product modules, accounting workflows, configuration options, and implementation logic.
• Translate client accounting and business requirements into practical system workflows and configurations.
• Support Sales by preparing demo and test environments that reflect client use cases and by clarifying solution scope and system capabilities.
• Assist Client Solutions and Project Managers in resolving complex product, accounting, workflow, configuration, and technical questions.
• Support UAT preparation and help determine whether issues are related to configuration, data, accounting treatment, workflow, or product functionality.
• Create and maintain documentation: business requirements, configuration notes, user guides, product notes, test environment instructions, and client-facing materials.
• Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to identify product gaps, limitations, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Accounting background is required; experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, financial reporting, or private markets operations strongly preferred.
• 1–5 years’ experience in accounting, audit, financial systems, software implementation, client solutions, product configuration, or business/system analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting workflows, client requirements, and system configuration logic.
• Experience in client requirement gathering, implementation, UAT, product testing, or demo/test environment setup is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills when dealing with complex accounting, workflow, configuration, or technical issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex systems and workflows to non-technical users; comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Client Solutions, Project Managers, Product, and Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and strong interest in financial technology.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
