Merchant Incubation (ShopeeFood)

About the Role

We are looking for a Merchant Acquisition Specialist to identify and onboard high-potential SMBs. These merchants may be trendy, fast-growing, or influential in their niche, requiring a high level of strategic sales and relationship management. This role requires strong negotiation, market research, and relationship-building skills to convince merchants to join ShopeeFood while aligning with their business goals.

Responsibilities

• Contact potential and existing merchants to pitch assigned products and close a sale
• Translate product information into merchant-comprehensive explanations
• Understand merchant requirements and summarize findings as reports for business improvements
• Coordinate with related teams to obtain required information to assist the sales process
• Understand and navigate necessary internal execution processes
• Keep records of calls and sales accurately and note useful information
• Actively monitor competitors’ offers by tracking merchant sentiment and conversations
• Achieve monthly business KPIs
• Perform related duties upon request

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and impactful messaging to merchants
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
• Adaptable to changing circumstances and market trends, swiftly adjusting strategies for optimal performance
• Able to work on-site
