About the Role

As an AI & Data Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a team of Data Engineers and AI Engineers to design, build, and scale data platforms and AI solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping data strategy, driving AI initiatives, and delivering business impact through advanced analytics and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Engineers and AI Engineers; define team structure, roles, and development plans; conduct performance reviews and support career growth.
• Define and drive the company’s Data & AI roadmap aligned with business goals; identify high-impact use cases for AI, machine learning, and analytics; collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives.
• Oversee design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and platforms; ensure data quality, reliability, and governance; work on ETL/ELT, data warehouse, and data lake architectures.
• Lead development and deployment of ML/AI models (NLP, CV, etc.); ensure models are production-ready, scalable, and maintainable; implement MLOps practices including deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data and AI projects; manage timelines, resources, and risks; define success metrics such as model performance and business impact.
• Bridge business, product, and engineering teams; translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related fields with proven experience leading Data and/or AI teams and delivering data and AI solutions in production environments.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, NLP, and/or computer vision, and proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Experience building data pipelines, data models, and data architectures; familiarity with SQL and data analysis practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka; knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
• Experience in deploying and managing ML models in production, familiarity with CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, and lifecycle management (MLOps/DataOps).
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities with the ability to align technical solutions with business needs.
