NKES draws on the foundations of Nippon Koei Co., Ltd., retaining expertise in energy management, manufacturing, construction & installation, and electro-mechanical consulting to provide one-stop services pertaining to energy.

About the Role

We are looking for a Wind Manager to support the expansion of our Renewable activities. You will be involved in wind-related projects covering engineering studies, Owner’s Engineering, and/or EPCM assignments, working in an international environment and coordinating with teams across the company. The role reports to Head of Renewable and Data Center. The position is based in Bangkok (Two Pacific Tower - Nana BTS Station), Manila, or Hanoi.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in wind technical assignments ensuring compliance with industrial best practice, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct site surveys or site inspections for greenfield or brownfield projects as per scope and assignment.
• Perform techno-commercial feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, prepare tender documents and support tendering processes, and support project construction and execution.
• Conduct technical analyses or software simulations for wind farm projects to develop turbine layout, conceptual design, energy yield assessment, or validate plant performance.
• Stay updated with advancements in wind and other renewable technologies and integrate them into projects.
• Coordinate directly with the Project Manager to ensure successful project execution, including monitoring planning, budget, safety aspects, and technical quality.
• Mentor, train and support junior engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Share technical expertise with engineering and project management teams and support business development with wind energy domain knowledge.
• Report project status regularly to the supervisor and coordinate with other departments to complete tasks and assignments.
• Identify potential project risks and propose mitigation measures and contribute to team development (expertise, innovation).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Wind Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in wind energy yield analysis or wind turbine technology.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in renewable energy projects including technical due diligence, techno-commercial feasibility studies, EPC tendering, etc.
• Strong understanding of wind energy principles and renewable energy technologies.
• Proficient in wind resource assessment and energy yield analysis with relevant software tools (e.g., WindPro, GIS, CFD, MATLAB etc.).
• Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, dynamic, and a good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Solid reporting and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel for short-term missions for projects or training purposes.
