Shift Technician

Position Summary:

Execute operational and maintenance activities to ensure reliable performance of data center critical infrastructure systems. Perform monitoring, preventive maintenance, and respond to incidents under the direction of Shift Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate critical facility systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, electrical distribution)
• Conduct routine inspections and equipment rounds
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot system issues
• Document activities in CMMS and logbooks
• Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of technical areas
• Support commissioning and testing activities
• Report equipment abnormalities and incidents to Shift Lead
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related technical field
• 2-4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or operations
• Experience with data center or critical infrastructure preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Good problem-solving and manual dexterity skills
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic English communication skills
• Safety certifications (e.g., working at heights, confined space) advantageous
