Medical Technologist - Ratchaburi-based, SCGP

About the Role

Develop, supervise, and oversee testing in the areas of Microbiology and Biotechnology within the Research Laboratory and Services to support customers within the Innovation & Product Development Center (IPDC), SCGP, and external customers. Ensure testing accuracy and compliance with international standards and legal requirements, provide technical consultation for research activities, and improve laboratory work processes and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee testing/inspection operations in scientific and technical/quality laboratory areas.
• Develop and maintain work systems to ensure smooth operations and testing accuracy to support SCGP customers.
• Supervise and manage routine and new test methods to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Oversee laboratory operations and provide test result reports.
• Prepare laboratory readiness for audits and customer visits.
• Monitor and maintain equipment efficiency, availability, maintenance, and calibration plans.
• Develop and maintain the laboratory Quality Management System to meet required standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure laboratory staff operate according to SCGP scientific, technical, and quality requirements.
• Review and recommend suitable methods for each type of test and business unit.
• Develop testing systems to comply with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 13485 (as applicable) and maintain related documentation.
• Prepare laboratory operational plans, including annual and medium-term plans, and manage laboratory cost structure.
• Support scientific/technical data for IPDC to comply with SCG Safety Framework.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Health Sciences, or related fields (Bachelor's GPA > 2.70, Master's GPA > 3.30).
• Open to new graduates.
• Experience in QA/QC lab testing in the food and healthcare industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge in Microbiology and Biotechnology.
• Knowledge of laboratory/healthcare standards and compliance (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 13485).
• Good command of English (TOEIC score at least 550).
• Must obtain a Professional License for Medical Technology issued by the Medical Technology Council.
• Able to work on-site at Innovation and Product Development Center (IPDC), SCGP, Ratchaburi, Thailand.
